Dear IADI Members and Distinguished Guests,

I am pleased to extend our cordial invitation to you for the upcoming IADI-Africa Regional Committee (ARC) Workshop.

It has been almost five years since the Ghana Deposit Protection Corporation (GDPC) hosted the IADI-ARC Technical Workshop in 2019. Thus, GDPC is very excited about welcoming you to yet another insightful IADI-ARC workshop in Accra, themed “The Increasing Role of Deposit Insurance Systems in Bank Resolution.”

In today's rapidly evolving financial landscape, the role of deposit insurance systems in bank resolution has become increasingly important as we witnessed during a number of recent bank failures across the globe. This workshop serves as a crucial platform for us to delve into this pertinent theme and exchange insights, experiences, and best practices that are instrumental in fostering effective bank resolutions and financial stability.

Throughout our time together, we aim to facilitate robust discussions surrounding the challenges and opportunities inherent in bank resolution, with a particular focus on the expanding role of deposit insurance systems. By sharing our knowledge and expertise on this subject matter, we aspire to equip each participant with a deeper understanding of the intricacies involved in safeguarding depositor funds and maintaining the integrity of our financial institutions.

I encourage each of you to actively participate, share your perspectives, and engage in meaningful deliberations throughout our time together. Workshop Information Pack

VISA INFORMATION

Requirement When Applying for Ghana Entry Visa

Applicants should be legally resident in the country where Ghana’s Mission is sited
Applicant’s passport photographs should have been taken not more than three months prior to the date of submission.
Applicant should attach a copy of a return ticket or print-out of travel itinerary
An international certificate of vaccination for Yellow Fever
Applicant’s passport must have validity of at least six (6) months

Additional information:
BUSINESS VISAS:
In addition to the above, a letter from the applicant’s organization in the country where mission is situated, stating among other things the reasons for the visit and a supporting /invitation letter from the applicant’s Business Associates in Ghana.

STUDY VISAS:
In addition to the above, a letter from the institution in the country where mission is situated, stating the purpose of the visit and financial means whilst in Ghana. A letter of acceptance from the institution in Ghana is also required.

EMPLOYMENT VISAS:
Applicants for employment visas are required to submit in addition to their form an Employment Contract and a proof of: Grant of Employment Quota in Ghana.
