The Ghana Deposit Protection Corporation (GDPC) wishes to inform its member institutions that the Ghana Deposit Protection (Amendment) Bill, 2025 was passed by the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana on 18th March 2026 and received Presidential Assent on 31st March 2026. Following the passage of the Amendment Bill, the Board of GDPC is empowered, among other things, to review the coverage limits for insured deposits once every two years to ensure they remain appropriate and responsive to prevailing economic conditions and depositor protection objectives.
